Litterbug took 2nd place at Mini Jame Gam #60

Our game about a rocket that can't stop littering placed 2nd overall at Mini Jame Gam #60, and 1st for theme. It's now free in Barkhalla Labs, the same version the jam players rated.

We make small games, and we want them to matter to the people who play them. Litterbug is one of those: we made it in a weekend for Mini Jame Gam #60, and it placed 2nd overall and 1st for theme implementation.

Rocket and trash

The jam gave us two words: the theme was Trash, and the special object was Rocket. Nothing went wrong during the jam, but coming up with an idea that clicked, and that felt original, was hard. Manu remembered a concept from another game jam, more of a roguelite about orbiting, and we decided to make our own version of it.

Your junk stays in orbit

Your little rocket drops a piece of junk every second, and two more every time you change orbit. None of it goes away. It drifts a little slower than you, so every lap you catch up with your own mess. Deliver cargo around Earth, Mars and Jupiter without getting hit by your own trash, then see how long you last in Saturn's endless mode. A run takes about 15 minutes.

2nd place

26 players rated Litterbug during the jam. In Manu's words: "2nd place felt pretty good, did not imagine we would make it that far, but I guess people liked the feeling!"

Some players told us they could imagine it with a dark mode. We might add one.

Play it in the Labs

The Labs version is the same one the jam players rated. It's free, you don't need an account, and it works with a keyboard, a mouse or a gamepad. Rate it in the Labs and tell us what you think, the feedback goes straight to us.
